Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease that can strike at any age, but most often begins in childhood. There is no known way to prevent it and there is no cure. Insulin must be given daily for the rest of one’s life. Treatment is costly and complications can be devastating. PLEASE SUPPORT DIABETES RESEARCH IN YOUR AREA.
