i just turned 25 6 days ago and was diagnosed with it. just got predisone today, other than itching i feel fine
I was diagnosed 4 years ago and I started with immuran and prednisone and I was great (except for side effects) and then I had a reactivation that was really bad and I add cyclosporine… now Im taking immuran and Neoral… it has not been a fun ride..
I’ve had autoimmune hepatitis since I was nine. In May of this year I relapsed (age 20). I started imuran a couple months ago and prednisone a few days back. I having terrible symtoms (bruising, swelling, enlarged lymphnodes etc.). I’m trying to get in to see my doctor but he doesn’t have any available appointments for two weeks. It’s pretty scary.
I really needed to see these videos. I was diagnosed w. early stage AIH, and I am pretty frightened. I’ve started steroids, as described in the video. I think I’m having adverse side effects (dizziness, leg cramps); but I believe that I have a good hepatologist and a good primary care physician. I will be checking this site out often.
Hi MeR0bert, I would love to read your essay if you’re willing to share it. I’m looking for any knowledge on Autoimmune Diseases. Write back, please.
I’ve recently been told that I have AIH. I am on Prednisone and Azatioprine. Nasty side effects. I am looking for anyone who has knowledge of Autoimmune Diseases. My Mother and I both have Autoimmune Diseases set-off by virus. Any info is always welcomed.
I’ve had autoimmune hepititis for about 3 years now, I am doing some research to find out if there is anyhting I can do to help it subside. I have gained about 40 lb and the drugs make me weak, im only 13…
I have AIH. I got it a year ago. At the begining we didn´t know what was going on with me , my legs hurt so much, I got bruses on my legs, and then a big pain on my ankles that didn´t let me stand up. Now I´m still taking azatioprine and I quit tthe prednisone in January, but after I left prednisone, my hand bones, specifically two fingers started to hurt, and don´t know what happened.
Hi, I also was diagnosed with AIH in 2006 and the treatment has been pretty good. Hope all is weel with you
Nice, I’m making my exam essay about this auto-imuun diseases. This was very helpfull!
I liked this video. I have AIH and at first it was a bit hard to take. Even though it is treatable, it is still serious. If anyone has questions and want to hear from someone who actuly lives with AIH then feel free to ask me.
Outstanding and very helpful
